01

List every document in scope

Identify the specification, claims, abstract, drawings and any other documents that require translation. Mark relevant drawing text and reference numerals. Include the intended language, destination, purpose and any instructions supplied by the responsible adviser. Do not assume that an unlisted attachment is automatically included.

02

Provide technical references without mixing versions

Provide editable files where available, together with a readable reference copy when layout matters. Supply approved terms and useful related documents, clearly marked as references. Check that titles, claim numbering, drawing labels and file versions belong to the same working set; flag discrepancies before work starts.

03

Keep a visible query and change record

Identify a contact for technical questions. Record source ambiguities and decisions instead of silently rewriting unclear text. If documents change, send a marked comparison and specify what it replaces. Translation, substantive drafting and filing responsibilities should be described separately in the project scope.

Service scope, availability, responsibilities, fees and delivery arrangements are confirmed for each project before work begins.
